All gender heart

As of August 26th 2024, a federal appeals court has overturned Judge Hickle's ruling against the gender-affirming care ban, permitting Florida to enforce it.

The law reinstated by the court’s decision bans the prescription of puberty blockers and hormone treatments to minors, even if their parents consent.

Additionally, the law mandates that transgender adults can only receive treatment from a doctor and not from a registered nurse or other qualified medical practitioner. Adults who want the treatment must be in the room with the physician when signing the consent form. No matter what happens, community networks have our back.

Trans rights are human rights.

LGBTQIA2S+ Education

GLSEN

GLSEN was founded by a group of teachers in 1990, knowing that educators play key roles in creating affirming learning environments for LGBTQ+ youth. As well as activating supportive educators, they believe in centering and uplifting student-led movements, which have powered initiatives like the Day of Silence, Ally Week, and more.

NEA Resource Library

Resource page designed to provide educators with LGBTQ+ information, tools, and resources they need to support transgender and non-binary students, to be more inclusive of LGBTQ+ history in their classrooms, and to stop LGBTQ+ bias and intolerance in our public schools.

PRISM

PRISM works to expand access to LGBTQ-inclusive education and sexual health resources for youth in South Florida.

Trans Formation Project

TFP offers a database to find bills in your state that target transgender people. You can also filter or sort by status, progress, or last activity date to get the latest updates.
